Pros and cons of The Week magazine UK edition app for iPhone and iPad
The Week magazine UK edition app good for
The Week is by far my favourite magazine and I expected no less from their app, which is simple, easy to use and very complete. The layout is as clever as it could possibly be given the iPhones relatively small screen size. While I still prefer the paper version I like how this app allows me to read the newest issue before its even delivered to my front door. Keep up the good work!
I have subscribed to the week for many years and thoroughly enjoy its unbiased review of events in the UK . I live ouside of the Uk and travel therefore it is important to stay in touch with local and international events . The week allows me to do that and then to choose to go into articles in more depth . It opens up my eyes to a wide host of topics and i cannot live without it . Thank you Georgie
All the weeks news under one roof and more. Highly recommended.
Arguably one of the best newspapers of any country. I dont read anything online but make an exception for the week because its so good. Its actually a well done app for the iPad as well.
A good précis of what is going on in the world.Educational and entertaining. App. Is not reliable.
A wonderful way to keep in touch with events in the U.K. as well as elsewhere, for those of us who live elsewhere!
Some bad moments
I should not have to agree that my details are given to third parties, just in the sign up process. I know you can opt out later, but that option should be given up front. Deleted.
Fails to recognize the sub, keeps trying to charge me, and makes the damned thing impossible, not just clumsy, to read.
I honestly missed this more than any other publication when I moved from the UK. I had the paper copied delivered but nothing beats the Newstand experience and ease of subscription.
Many thanks for making it available outside of the UK - now if we could only find a clever way to include the crossword :-)
The Week is a great magazine that presents an incisive look at the weeks news. No longer living in the UK, I was really excited when it became available on iTunes for the iPad. Unfortunately, the app is terrible. It was crashing so frequently, I could virtually only read an article or two at a time. Then I made the mistake of changing the number of issues available (in the settings), and now the app crashes before even opening. Im glad Id only gotten so far as downloading a free issue so Ive not wasted any money. Id love to purchase a subscription, but itd just be a waste. Too bad. I hope the developer fixes the issues.
The app is great. The content superb.
A very good survey of events, news, and editorial from around the media from around the globe.
I recommend it.
The content of The Week is great - but it frequently just closes down when reading. Very frustrating. Maybe it is just my iPad 1 cant handle the app.
